We're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with EPLAN experience to join our growing team and support the design and delivery of electrical control systems across a diverse portfolio of client projects.

Role and responsibilities
  • Support the design and delivery of electrical control systems across a diverse portfolio of client projects.
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and associated documentation using EPLAN, AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to understand project requirements and develop practical technical solutions.
  • Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Support system integration, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and commissioning activities.
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, fault-finding and commissioning of electrical and control systems.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations and maintain accurate design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project planning, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
What we're looking for
  • Experience producing electrical designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts using EPLAN, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Good understanding of industrial automation, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and safety-related control systems.
  • Understanding of relevant electrical standards and regulations, including BS and IEC standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, P&IDs and technical documentation.
  • Experience supporting installation, commissioning, testing and fault-finding of electrical and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
