We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Capital Delivery team, supporting the successful delivery of a range of engineering projects from concept through to completion.
Working closely with Project Managers, contractors, designers and key stakeholders, you'll play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality.
Within our Capital Delivery department, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join the team.
Everything you need to knowAs a Project Engineer, you'll support the planning, coordination and delivery of capital projects, helping to ensure project objectives are achieved on time, within budget and in line with regulatory requirements.
You'll:
- Support the delivery of engineering projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with design partners, contractors and operational teams to coordinate project activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and support the implementation of mitigation plans.
- Assist with project planning, financial forecasting and reporting activities.
- Ensure projects comply with health, safety, environmental and CDM requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and customers.
- Support governance processes, project documentation and project reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery and performance.
- Promote a strong safety culture across project teams and the supply chain.
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and passionate about delivering engineering solutions that have a positive impact.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience supporting the delivery of engineering, construction, infrastructure or utilities projects.
- Understanding of project management principles and project delivery processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements, including CDM regulations.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good commercial awareness and experience working to budgets, deadlines and project objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to challenge and influence where required.
- Experience with in the water or utilities sector.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts or project management frameworks.
- An engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.
- Understanding of treatment processes or infrastructure delivery projects.
