Salary: £74,106 per annum

We currently have a vacancy to join a British, regional airline as a Fleet Performance Engineer, to be based in Disbury, Manchester.
Established almost 20 years ago, they currently have a fleet of 20 aircraft and operate a network of domestic and European services serving both the business and leisure markets. They hold a UK CAA Type A Operating Licence.
Due to an internal move, they have an opportunity to join their Maintenance Control Team as a Fleet Performance Engineer. This role manages and develops the company’s preventative maintenance programme and leads the airlines predicative maintenance philosophy for their fleet of Embraer E190 aircraft. With a focus on the highest levels of aircraft reliability this role helps ensure they carry their passengers safely, and on time, to their desired destination.
Main Responsibilities:
- Production of Engineering Technical Requirements in a timely manner to address latent and active aircraft defects, planning and ensuring spares requirements are in place.
- To ensure continued focus on Technical Dispatch Reliability from an Operational and reliability perspective to meet the company’s TDC & TDR targets
- Manage, maintain Fleet Monitoring Systems, such as Airman, Aviatarand Ahead-Pro.
- Provide Departmental Analytics support, developing and maintaining operational and performance reports using systems such as Tableau, Metabase, SQL queries and MS Excel.
- Review Flight Data conditional events for required Engineering follow-up requirements, working alongside Safety Services department. Interpretation of data recorders.
- Monitor component reliability, identify potential rogue units and liaise with materials management for follow up and workshop requirements. Engaging with other Technical Services, contracted maintenance providers and aircraft/equipment OEMs
- Support the Maintrol Team with ad-hoc shift cover and guidance on troubleshooting of repetitive defects.
- Ownership and proactive management of repetitive defects process
- Using multiple data sources, you’ll identify the maintenance tasks, outside or scheduled maintenance programme, required to keep their fleet flying without interrupting their scheduled operations. These requirements will be communicated to their line and base engineering teams using Engineering Technical Requirements, work instructions, in a timely manner to address repetitive, latent, and active aircraft defects.

About You:
- CAA Part-66 B1/ B2 licence or equivalent engineering technical qualification
- Type rating on Embraer E190 aircraft, or experience within a similar technical support/ technical services role
- Working knowledge of CAA/ EASA Part-CAMO, Part-M and Part 145 requirements
- Technical Services experience
- Experience of the aircraft certification, technical support and maintenance from a practical and continued airworthiness viewpoint
- Knowledge of Airline business, regulatory and operating environment
- Ability to make decisions based on sound rationale and technical knowledge.
- Sound analytical skills - ability to manipulate, analyse and report on complex data
- Able to work under pressure and deliver against challenging targets
- Ability to travel to various locations within the UK and Europe
- Ability to hold a full airside pass
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately at all levels, both verbally and in writing
