Job Description & How to Apply Below
Surveyor Resource Manager Manchester £30,000 - £40,000 Plus Full Benefits Package Professional Consultancy | Surveying & Property Services | Manchester / Agile Working A Different Kind of Resource Management Opportunity We are representing a growing professional consultancy that is attracting significant interest across the surveying and property community. Well structured, ambitious and high performing, our client has developed an excellent reputation for the quality of its work, its people and its approach to clients.

The business operates within a professional, white-collar consultancy environment and continues to grow across a number of specialist surveying and property services. As part of this continued growth, our client is looking to appoint a Surveyor Resource Manager. This is an important appointment within the business and an opportunity to take responsibility for developing and managing the network of professional surveyors and assessors that supports national project delivery.

The Opportunity At its heart, this role is about people, planning and performance. You will work closely with the operational and commercial teams to understand existing workloads and future project requirements, ensuring the business has the right surveying resource available, in the right locations and at the right time. Rather than simply reacting when additional resource is required, you will develop a proactive approach to resource planning - building relationships with existing surveyors while continually identifying and engaging new professionals who could strengthen the consultancy's national delivery capability.

Your responsibilities will include:
Building and managing a national network of surveyors and assessors. Identifying and recruiting additional surveying resource. Understanding current workloads and forecasting future resource requirements. Matching surveyors to projects based on geography, experience, availability and commercial considerations. Developing strong, long-term relationships with the external surveying network. Monitoring availability, performance, quality and service delivery. Working closely with Operations and Sales ahead of new project mobilisation.

Identifying potential resource gaps before they affect project delivery. Helping improve utilisation, efficiency and the overall performance of the surveying network. Who Are We Looking For? Interestingly, you don't necessarily need to be a surveyor. We are more interested in finding someone who understands how to coordinate professional people and enjoys building relationships. You may currently work within resource management, recruitment, workforce planning, surveying operations, contractor management or professional services.

You are likely to be highly organised, commercially aware and confident communicating with professional people at different levels. Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys taking ownership. You should be able to look ahead, anticipate where additional resource will be required and make things happen rather than waiting for problems to arise. Why Consider This Opportunity? Our client is an ambitious and increasingly recognised consultancy operating within a professional environment where good people are given the opportunity to make an impact.

The business is well structured, high performing and growing, with a strong pipeline of work and increasing visibility within the professional surveying community. For the successful individual, this is an opportunity to join that journey and take ownership of a function that will become increasingly important as the business continues to expand. You won't simply inherit a process. You will have the opportunity to improve it, develop it and make it your own.

For someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and being at the centre of a busy professional consultancy, this could be an excellent next career move Important Information:
