Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to secure a long-term role on a busy infrastructure project, with the scheme expected to run for at least the next 6 months.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of works on site, ensuring engineering activities are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities

* Setting out and surveying highways and civil engineering works.

* Ensuring works are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications and approved methodologies.

* Carrying out quality checks and maintaining accurate site records.

* Working closely with Site Managers, Sub Agents and the wider engineering team.

* Producing and reviewing relevant engineering documentation.

* Supporting the resolution of technical issues on site.

* Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained.

Requirements

* Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways/civil engineering projects.

* Strong setting out and surveying experience.

* Competent with relevant surveying equipment and engineering software.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

* CSCS/appropriate site certification.

* Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Package

 * £300–£350 per shift, depending on experience.

* 6-month contract with potential for further work.

* Immediate start available.
