HV / Private Networks / Substations up to 33kV / New connections
Long-term opportunity with clear progression
Ready to take ownership of HV projects across private networks and substations up to 33kV?
I am working with an established HV power engineering business that is looking for an HV Project Manager to join its Manchester operation.
The role covers private network connections, substation installation up to 33kV, HV/LV infrastructure, testing and commissioning, and wider electrical networks.
You will take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, with responsibility for budgets, programmes, resources, contractors, clients and commercial delivery.
There's also scope to get involved in quotations, tenders and developing existing client relationships, giving you the opportunity to have an influence beyond individual project delivery.
Who might this suit?We are open to candidates who are already working as HV Project Managers, as well as Project Engineers or Senior Project Engineers who are ready to move into project management.
You will need a background in HV/LV, T&D, private networks or substations, along with the technical understanding and project coordination skills to take ownership of delivery.
For the electrical side of the role, we are open to someone who has either a relevant electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3+) or demonstrable experience managing the electrical scope of HV projects.
You will also need SMSTS, IOSH or a similar H&S qualification.
If this sounds like the sort of move you would consider,
