The OpportunityJoin our 2027 (Autumn) Graduate Programme as a Graduate Electrical Engineer in our Manchester office, where you will be part of a market-leading Buildings discipline.
You’ll join our North West Buildings team, based in Manchester, where you’ll work alongside 17 Building Services and Sustainability professionals. As a graduate, you’ll benefit from close collaboration with experienced engineers and senior mentors, providing excellent support for your professional development.
Our team delivers a wide range of multidisciplinary projects, working closely with colleagues across Civil & Structural Engineering, Geotechnics, Transport Planning, Acoustics, Fire Engineering, and other specialist disciplines. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from our wider Building Services teams across the North East and Scotland, gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects and expertise from across the business.
Our Building Services, Energy and Sustainability team works closely with clients and design teams from the earliest project stages, helping shape designs and deliver high-performing, sustainable buildings. We support projects throughout the full lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to construction, handover and aftercare, across sectors including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, logistics, and science & research.
AboutThe Role
Day to day you’ll be:
- Assisting with the design and calculation of electrical building services systems using industry-leading software such as Dialux, Relux, and Electrical OM.
- Supporting the production of designs using Revit and 3D BIM modelling software.
- Preparing detailed engineering designs, calculations, and technical drawings.
- Participating in design team and client meetings as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Undertaking site visits and surveys to support project delivery.
- Researching and helping to implement emerging technologies and innovative engineering solutions.
We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. The applicable professional qualification for this role is IET or CIBSE status.
