About Our Graduate ProgrammeAt Baker Hicks we offer a dynamic two-year Graduate scheme - an exceptional launchpad for your career as a future Chartered Project Control / Planning Engineer.
Our program uniquely combines technical expertise with professional development through two enriching learning journeys. You'll dive into hands‑on experiences alongside our industry-leading teams, equipping you with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in your engineering career.
From day one, you'll benefit from a personalised on-the-job training plan tailored to the Infrastructure department. This approach will not only allow you to apply your technical knowledge in real-world settings but also provide ongoing support from experienced professionals.
You’ll actively contribute to a variety of projects, gaining invaluable experience every step of the way. We are also committed to enhancing your essential soft skills, ensuring you develop a well-rounded skill set that complements your technical abilities with effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing- Engaging with stakeholders to communicate project expectations and deliverables.
- Assist in project planning and development while supporting project coordination and management.
- Handling administrative duties including invoice preparation, cost estimates, and meeting scheduling.

- Achieving a degree in technical discipline such as Architecture, Civil/Structural, Electrical or instrumentation.
- Mentorship and support towards chartership
