Building Surveyor Up to £54,000 salary - Facility Maintenance – Multiple Offices based in the North and Midlands We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join our team, specialising in the management and maintenance of key infrastructure and building assets through strategic long-term partnerships. The role supports a market-leading Complex Facilities business, delivering full design and project management for minor building fit-out projects for national clients, including government departments.

You will provide a comprehensive range of surveying services such as asset capture, condition surveys, historic building assessments, void surveys, and specialist surveys including RAAC and cell door fire compliance. Working closely with advisory teams, you will help clients optimise asset management plans using data-driven solutions and contribute to achieving Net Zero ambitions by supporting the Energy Transition Agenda. The role involves technical input across all project stages, from fee build-up and client liaison to project delivery and close-out.

Following specialist training, you will also act as Principal Designer, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent project and contract management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients in sectors such as Health, Education, and Justice. Skills
• Chartered or Associate Membership of RICS (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in building surveying and asset condition surveys
• Project and contract management expertise, including procurement and delivery of major works
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, Planning, Health & Safety, Environmental and Sustainability standards
• Experience with specialist surveys (e.g., RAAC, fire compliance)
• Principal Designer competence under CDM and Building Regulations
