Controls Engineer

Controls / Automation Engineer Birmingham | £50,000–£70,000 | Permanent | Days We’re looking for a Controls / Automation Engineer to join a growing, highly automated manufacturing operation that has recently moved from NPI into high-volume production . This is a fast-paced environment with extensive PLC, robotics, sensors, motion control, inspection and automated handling .

The Role You’ll be hands-on, supporting the equipment, resolving faults and driving continuous improvement. You’ll work across: PLC programming, fault-finding & modifications HMI, sensors, servo and motion systems Robotics and automated equipment Commissioning and optimisation Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement Improving reliability, throughput and OEE About You We’re open to experience across any major PLC platform , including Beckhoff, Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Mitsubishi .

You’ll need strong practical Controls / Automation experience and be comfortable getting into the PLC logic rather than simply identifying faults. Experience in high-volume manufacturing, automotive, plastics or FMCG would be advantageous. £50k–£70k | Permanent | Days | Birmingham
