We are recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join an established engineering team, carrying out structural inspections, appraisals, defect diagnosis, and repair design across a wide range of buildings.
This role will focus on assessing domestic, commercial, industrial, and historic buildings, identifying structural issues, investigating root causes, and developing practical repair solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Inspecting and assessing varied buildings and structures
- Diagnosing defects using intrusive and non-destructive investigation methods
- Preparing structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Designing repair solutions and supporting repair delivery
- Liaising with contractors, specialists, and project teams
- BSc / BEng or equivalent from an IStructE / ICE approved course
- Strong understanding of building structures, fabric, defects, and alterations
- Experience preparing structural calculations and drawings
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Tekla, and ideally Autodesk Revit
