I am currently working with a leading global property and consultancy business that is looking to appoint an experienced Façade Consultant to join their growing Manchester team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a façade professional looking to work on a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects, providing specialist façade consultancy advice across the full project lifecycle.

You will work closely with clients, architects, contractors and other technical specialists, providing expert advice on façade design, performance, compliance and remediation.

As a Façade Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Providing specialist façade consultancy and technical advice across a range of commercial, residential and large-scale developments.
• Reviewing and assessing façade systems, materials and construction details to identify technical and performance issues.
• Supporting façade inspections, condition assessments and technical due diligence.
• Producing and reviewing technical reports, specifications and façade-related documentation.
• Providing advice on façade performance, compliance, defects and remediation strategies.
• Working with architects, contractors, developers and other consultants throughout the design and construction process.
• Supporting project delivery from initial assessment and concept design through to completion.
• Contributing to client relationships and helping develop new project opportunities.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 3+ years' experience within façade engineering, façade consultancy or a closely related discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, including curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing and external wall systems.
• Experience undertaking façade inspections, assessments or technical reviews.
• A good understanding of relevant UK façade standards, regulations and guidance.
• Experience producing technical reports and communicating technical findings to clients.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• A degree in Façade Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Building Physics, Architecture or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Experience with areas such as CWCT, EWS1, FRAEW, PAS 9980, fire performance, thermal performance or façade remediation would be highly desirable.
