The role requires travel to our central Manchester office at least one day per week
Main Purpose & Scope Of JobWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant with proficiency in Xero and Sage. Experience in Iplicit would be advantageous to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and records
Responsibilities- Maintain and update financial records across the NRLA group using Xero and Iplicit accounting software.
- Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner on Xero, Iplicit and sage.
- Support with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Manage the Accounts mailbox for NRLA, Safe2 and LPTE ensuring timely turnaround on sales invoice requests and purchase invoice approvals.
- Support the finance team with the preparation and timed requests for the Safe2 year-end audit.
- Responsibility for the sales invoicing and allocation of projects for Safe
2. - Credit control responsibility for the NRLA group.
- AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Accounts/Bookkeeping experience is essential
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, ideally in a similar role.
- Hands‑on experience with Iplicit accounting software.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work across multiple CRM systems
- Must have worked in an accounting position using either Xero or Sage
- Having worked for a membership organisation
- Have used Iplicit accounting system
- Knowledge of Xero and Sage accounting software
- Experience on Iplicit would be advantageous, but essential
- Willing to commute to the office on request
- Be a good team worker, demonstrating accuracy and commitment to the organisation and team members
