Management Accountant

Overview

Management Accountant at The Resolute Group, partnering with a client operating across the Transportation sector. Stakeholders include Local Authorities, Train Operating Companies, Network Rail, TfN, and the DfT, to drive positive outcomes.

Salary: £46,000 - £53,000

Location:

Manchester (Hybrid working arrangement: 3 days in the office / 2 days WFH)

• Developing and implementing financial processes, systems and reporting mechanisms for the setup and operation of the organisation.
• Support the development of the client’s audit & risk management strategy and reporting processes to continuously align with its evolution.
• Managing day-to-day relationships with contracted service providers, ensuring effective negotiation, interpretation, and adherence to established contractual agreements.

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Fully or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CIPFA).
• Proven experience in financial management within a public sector-focused environment, skilled in financial systems development and reporting.
• Strong understanding of public sector finance; prior client-side experience preferred, ideally within the public sector (examples include Network Rail, Transport for the North (TfN), Department for Transport (DfT), Transport for London (TfL), Train Operating Companies, NHS, Local Authorities, or the Ministry of Defence (MOD)).
