About the role

The Financial Accountant reports into the Finance manager and is a detail-orientated and analytical team member, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting on financial reporting and analysis. This role will play a key role in month-end and year-end close processes, financial statements preparation and audit coordination.

What you will be doing
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP)
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or trends
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
What we would like you to have
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 2+ years of financial management or accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent understanding of financial principles and reporting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
