Head of Finance

A respected UK manufacturer known for delivering high-quality products and setting industry standards are looking to recruit a Head of Finance. As Head of Finance, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders, strengthen financial controls, and support sustainable growth across the organisation. Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts and communicate financial performance and variances to the Directors
• Assist the Directors in building a long-term business plan in preparation for the annual budgeting process
• Maintain and develop Company KPI reporting to include both financial and non-financial measures to assess the critical success factors of the business
• Develop and maintain a product costing system to provide accurate valuation of all materials, WIP and finished product
• Analyse and report on the profitability of the different activities and revenue stream
• Prepare quarterly forecasts of Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
• Manage the year end Audit process
• Oversee general insurance, company fleet and pension arrangement
• Liaise with external advisers including auditors, lawyers, bankers as required.
• Assume responsibility for claiming Government Grants, including R&D Tax Credits, and compliance with Tax liabilities, including taxes specific to Packaging and Manufacturing industries.
• Oversee the management and development of the finance team

Suitable candidates must have previously operated at FC or Head of Finance level, they must have manufacturing experience and be comfortable owning all statutory, financial, and regulatory compliance, ensuring accurate, timely filings and full adherence to UK reporting requirements.
