Financial Accountant | High-Profile Professional Services Business | Manchester City Centre Salary:
Up to £55,000 | Hybrid working

A high-profile and growing professional services organisation based in Manchester city centre is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance function. This role offers broad exposure across corporate accounting, financial reporting, and commercial finance, and would suit candidates making their first move into industry from a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of management accounts, journals, and statutory accounts
• Ownership of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Supporting monthly and quarterly financial reporting cycles, including preparation of reporting packs for senior leadership
• Leading audit processes and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors
• VAT review and supporting wider regulatory and compliance requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting

• Qualified or recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Trained in a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm and now looking to move into industry
• Strong technical accounting background with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable taking ownership and working directly with senior stakeholders
• Proactive, organised, and keen to contribute within a high-performing finance team
