Interim Financial Accountant

Apointe are partnering with a high-profile, complex, multi-entity organisation currently undertaking an extensive accounting process transformation. As the business addresses legacy data challenges and reshapes its financial operations, they require an experienced and highly methodical Interim Financial Accountant to lead a deep-dive reconciliation project. You will take ownership of the balance sheet, investigating discrepancies and bring structural discipline to ensure total financial accuracy.

This is a high-impact, hands-on interim role requiring a candidate with elite reconciliation skills and the confidence to navigate complex legacy systems.

• Performing complex balance sheet reconciliations, identifying root causes of discrepancies, and executing required corrections
• Extracting and analysing large-scale financial data from an older version of SAP
• Reviewing and tidying legacy accounting processes
• Bringing methodical discipline to financial operations
• Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Documenting new procedures and control frameworks

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in financial accounting within large, complex organisations.
• Deep technical expertise in balance sheet reconciliations and historical accounting clean-up projects is preferred
• Essential SAP system knowledge
• A methodical, detail-oriented approach with the ability to bring order to unstructured data environments.
