Financial Controller

Broster Buchanan are partnering with a dynamic, growth-focused business based in Manchester to appoint a commercially astute Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a pivotal leadership role at an exciting stage of the company’s strategic expansion.

With a clear strategic business plan and ambitious growth trajectory already in place, this role offers the opportunity to shape, strengthen and scale the finance function to support the next phase of development.

As Financial Controller, you will:

• Lead and develop the finance team
• Oversee all financial reporting, controls and compliance
• Drive improvements in financial processes and systems
• Partner with the CFO on strategic planning, forecasting and performance analysis
• Support business growth initiatives, funding activities and stakeholder reporting
• Ensure a robust control environment aligned to regulatory expectations

This is a high-visibility role with significant exposure to senior leadership and key external stakeholders.

We are seeking a technically strong and commercially minded qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent), ideally with:

• A chartered audit background (Big 4 or Top 10 preferred), and/or
• Experience with in a regulated Financial Services environment
• Strong understanding of governance, risk and control frameworks
• Experience building scalable finance processes in a growing business
• The confidence and credibility to operate at senior leadership level

You will be hands-on, strategic in outlook, and motivated by working in a business where you can genuinely influence direction and performance.
