Group Director of Tax

Private Equity Backed, High Growth Group

Salary circa £140,000 plus bonus and benefits

An opportunity to join a fast growing, private equity backed international group in a senior leadership role with real influence and visibility.

This role sits at group level and has a strong international focus
. The UK position is already well covered, so the emphasis is on overseeing and coordinating tax across multiple jurisdictions as the business continues to scale through organic growth and acquisition.

• Own the group’s international tax position across multiple territories
• Lead international structuring, cross border transactions, and integrations
• Oversee transfer pricing, withholding taxes, and international tax risk
• Manage and challenge overseas advisors, ensuring consistency and quality
• Own group tax accounting under IFRS, including current and deferred tax
• Act as the senior tax voice to the CFO, board, and private equity stakeholders
• Build scalable tax governance, controls, and processes for a growing group

• Proven experience in a senior international tax role within a complex group
• Background in private equity, high growth, or acquisitive environments
• Strong technical grounding across international tax and group tax accounting
• Commercial judgement, able to balance risk and pragmatism
• Comfortable operating hands on when required, not just delegating
• Able to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non tax stakeholders

• Genuine international remit with autonomy and influence
• Exposure to private equity decision making and value creation
• A business investing in growth, systems, and long term capability
• Senior leadership visibility without excessive bureaucracy
