Head of Commercial Finance

Location:
Manchester (with responsibility across UK & Europe)

We are partnering with a rapidly scaling business executing an ambitious buy-and-build growth strategy across the UK and Europe. With significant expansion plans and a strong commercial agenda, the organisation is entering a key phase as it integrates new acquisitions, expands its operational footprint and strengthens its commercial finance capability.

To support this next stage of growth, the business is seeking a Commercial Finance Leader to shape and drive the commercial finance agenda. This is a high-impact role with significant visibility across the senior leadership team, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and support the integration and performance of multiple entities across the group.

Commercial Finance Leadership

• Own and develop the commercial finance strategy across multiple entities within the group.
• Deliver insightful analysis across revenue, margins, cost drivers and profitability to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Translate financial performance into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Business Partnering

• Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners across the UK and Europe.
• Drive a culture of proactive commercial finance, moving the team beyond reporting into genuine business partnering.
• Challenge and influence stakeholders to support better decision-making across the organisation.

Performance & Insight

• Provide forward-looking insight through scenario modelling, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Partner with operational and commercial leaders to evaluate opportunities, risks and investment decisions.
• Improve visibility of financial performance through meaningful KPIs and reporting frameworks.

Planning & Forecasting

• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes across the group.
• Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and financial planning capability.
• Ensure financial plans align with the broader commercial and strategic objectives of the business.

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a commercial finance leadership role within a complex or multi-entity environment.
• Strong business partnering capability with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into clear commercial insight.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Salary of £90,000 – £100,000 plus 15% performance-related bonus.
