£30,000-£32,000 per year plus bonus. Permanent, full time. Closing date 17/06/2026.

About the role

Credit Controller for a finance team within a professional services firm. High engagement, autonomy and progression.

Key responsibilities
  • Assess and review aged debt against KPIs.
  • Take proactive ownership of overdue accounts, informing Partners and Managers.
  • Maintain accurate client records in Workday and document all communications.
  • Allocate cash receipts, resolving discrepancies to minimise unallocated payments.
  • Handle complex queries and disputes, escalating when required.
  • Consistently apply the organisation's debt provisioning framework.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting and coordinate stakeholder meetings to review balances.
  • Escalate higher‑risk or problematic balances, collaborating with the Credit Control Manager.
  • Promote consistency across all accounts and document legal action cases.
  • Manage adjustments to the debtors ledger, ensuring over payments or payments on account are correctly handled, allocated or refunded.
Qualifications
  • Experience in professional services sector;
    Workday experience highly advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, influencing colleagues and managing performance concerns professionally.
  • Commitment to exceptional service for internal and external clients.
