Accounting Apprenticeship

BTG is the market leader in business rescue and recovery supporting financially distressed businesses with turnaround, restructuring and closure options.

We have exciting opportunities available to work in our central Manchester office within our Corporate Restructuring and Recovery Team with support being provided to achieve a professional accountancy qualification.

Over 5 or 6 years you will study towards becoming a qualified accountant and during this time you will

• Gain practical experience and valuable skills whilst bringing your studies to life
• Be part of a team supporting the day-to-day operations and functions and get involved in interesting cases
• Use your insights and skills to analyse financial information, prepare statutory reports and documents
• Communicate with key stakeholders, such as Accountants and Solicitors on formal insolvency matters
• Gain knowledge and experience of dealing with limited companies in financial distress from a wide range of industries and sectors
• Be predominantly based in our Manchester office with a supportive team around you, occasionally working out on site and other offices

• Support you to fast track your career and cover the costs of your study to achieve your professional qualifications
• Provide on-the job training and exposure to a wide range of industries and experiences
• Regularly check in to make sure you’re meeting your personal goals
• Help you grow by supporting you to learn new skills, build technical knowledge alongside your professional development

We are looking for the following from a candidate:

• 3 A-levels or equivalent at A
  * to C (obtained or predicted)
• 9 to 4 in Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent
• Desire to work in a professional services environment
• Ability to communicate well with both colleagues and external parties
• Natural curiosity and desire to solve problems
• Self-motivation and ability to combine study and work
