Finance Services Cash and Banking Team Manager – £41,800 to £49,000 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A)

Manchester city centre (hybrid working between home and two days per week in the office – see )

Overview

We’re looking for a Finance Services Cash and Banking Team Manager to join the Sales to Cash team within our co‑operative Business Services (CBS) organisation. In this role you will oversee the end‑to‑end cash and banking process for the business area(s) you support, ensuring accurate and regulatory compliant bank and control account reconciliations. You will highlight and resolve key risks and lead a team of talented colleagues.

What you’ll do
  • Oversee manual and automatic end‑to‑end banking processes
  • Review bank reconciliations and resolve any issues promptly
  • Act as an expert handling complex cash and banking queries
  • Collaborate closely with Treasury, AP, AR, Tax, Payroll and Financial Control teams
  • Lead, support and develop a high‑performing team
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in cash and banking within a retail environment
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and signing off balance sheets
  • An accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or active study towards one
  • Ability to handle large volumes of financial data
  • Good leadership and people management skills
  • Good project management and problem‑solving skills
