Management Accountant (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Salary: £40k - £55k (DOE) About the Role We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant, or an individual in the early stages of their professional studies, to gain exposure to a broad and varied role within a fast-paced business environment.

The position offers significant responsibility, visibility across the organisation, and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts. Assist with the preparation of annual financial accounts. Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial analysis, including variance reporting. Present financial information and insights to the management team. Monitor, review and improve existing accounting processes and controls. Work closely with both internal stakeholders and external parties. Support and collaborate with accounting and administration teams.

Ensure compliance with relevant financial, regulatory and internal policies. Contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role as required. We're looking for someone who is proactive, analytical and confident communicating financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Essential Skills & Experience 3-4 years' experience within an accounting or finance function. Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, use initiative and solve problems effectively. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems. A collaborative approach with the ability to contribute positively within a team environment. Qualifications Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA candidates are encouraged to apply. We are also keen to hear from candidates who are at the beginning stages of their ACCA or CIMA studies.
