Assistant Client Manager

Greater Manchester | Hybrid Working | £50,000 - £56,000 + Excellent Benefits

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients and acting as their trusted adviser.
• Building long‑term relationships and becoming the first point of contact for client queries.
• Reviewing accounts preparation work and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Leading, mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Working closely with Directors and other service lines to provide joined‑up advice.
• Supporting business development activities and helping to identify growth opportunities.
• Understanding client businesses and proactively adding value beyond compliance services.
• Managing workflow and ensuring assignments are delivered on time and to a high standard.

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Previous experience working within UK practice.
• Experience as a Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager.
• Strong client‑facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Experience working with owner‑managed businesses and SME clients.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience using cloud accounting software and practice management systems.
• Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous but is not essential.
