Your Role
Responsible for planning, performing and reporting on a range of audits and other assurance activities, the role of Principal Auditor makes a key contribution to the delivery of the internal audit plan and provision of assurance to the management and members of the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee.
In this role you will:
- Obtain a clear understanding of the business areas being audited and their link to TfGM’s Strategic Objectives, the systems and process used and the regulatory environment to ensure that key strategic and operational risks are understood and that controls are in place to operate effectively to manage risks;
- Deliver the planning and fieldwork phases of audit engagements;
- Clearly document the results of audit and other assurance work performed and draft a variety of audit reports for review by the Audit Manager;
- Agree actions with management to address any audit findings; and
- Monitor progress against the completion of audit actions.
This is a hybrid role, working in our office in central Manchester two days per week.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you have extensive experience in delivering internal audit services in a complex environment, a track record of delivering within deadlines, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a substantial understanding of internal audit principles, practices and standards.
