Interim Finance Director

Finance Director (Fixed-term 6–12 months) – Manchester

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a key client in Manchester who are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Director to join the business on a 6‑12 month fixed‑term contract.

Based in Manchester, you will work a hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office.

This opportunity is ideal for a commercially focused Finance Director with strong manufacturing experience, who has a proven track record of supporting a successful business sale and delivering transformation. You will play a key role in supporting the leadership team through a period of change, driving performance and preparing the business for a profitable exit.

£110,000 - £130,000
20% bonus
Hybrid working (3 days in office)

• Advise senior leadership on financial strategy and key decision making
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities
• Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting
• Manage financial risks and ensure regulatory compliance
• Monitor cash flow, profitability, and business performance
• Drive cost‑efficiency initiatives and process improvements
• Lead ERP reporting improvements and enhance visibility of commercial data
• Partner closely with the management team to support growth and transformation
• Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team

CEO / Senior Leadership Team

Interviews will be happening as soon as possible.

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Proven experience as a Finance Director within manufacturing
• Track record of supporting a successful business sale / exit
• Strong transformation and turnaround experience
• Experience of ERP implementation and reporting improvements
• Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
