This is a full‑time, on‑site Account Manager role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. The Account Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for ongoing financial planning and wealth management needs. Daily responsibilities include preparing for and attending client meetings, gathering and reviewing client information, coordinating with advisers and support teams, and ensuring timely follow‑up on agreed actions.
The role involves monitoring client portfolios, supporting the implementation of recommendations, and maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and internal standards. The Account Manager will also help identify new opportunities within existing accounts, contribute to business development activities, and uphold the firm’s commitment to excellent client service.
- Proven experience in account management, client relationship management, or a similar client‑facing role within financial services or professional services.
- Strong understanding of financial planning concepts (e.g., retirement planning, investments, protection, mortgages) and willingness to deepen technical knowledge.
- Excellent communication, listening, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and accessible way.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with strong time management and follow‑through on client commitments.
- Comfort working with data, reports, and CRM or client management systems; proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar).
- Ability to work collaboratively with advisers, paraplanners, and administrative colleagues to deliver a seamless client experience.
- Relevant financial services qualifications (e.g., progressing toward or holding Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent) are highly advantageous.
- Ethical, professional approach with a commitment to regulatory compliance, confidentiality, and treating customers fairly.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom and availability to work on‑site in the Manchester area.
