Manchester (Hybrid, up to 2 days WFH) | Salary £75,000 – £80,000 (dependent on experience).

Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-quality, efficient month‑end close and deliver board‑ready reporting with robust reconciliations and clear audit trails.
  • Strengthen financial controls, systems and automation to build a scalable, investor‑ready finance function.
  • Act as the lead for audit, year‑end accounts, VAT, payroll and broader tax compliance.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to translate financial performance into commercial insight, confidently challenging on accounting treatment where needed.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, raise standards, improve processes, and embed a systems‑first, high‑performance culture.
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post‑qualified experience.
  • Proven experience operating as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager within a scaling, high‑growth environment.
  • Strong technical grounding, with clear SaaS/software revenue recognition experience and a deep understanding of financial controls.
  • Systems‑first mindset – instinctively improve processes, leverage automation, and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Confident communicator with gravitas, comfortable challenging stakeholders and translating financial data into commercial insight.
  • Meticulous, disciplined and commercially aware, with the drive to build a finance function that supports rapid and sustainable growth.
