Overview

KPMG UK's Actuarial Consulting function provides actuarial services to general insurance companies across the UK, including Lloyds and the London Market. The role is based in London, Manchester or Edinburgh, with a national network of 20 offices.

• Lead delivery of actuarial projects, managing small teams of advisors and auditors for retail and commercial insurers.
• Provide pricing transformations, governance, data enrichment and model development.
• Deliver pricing analytics and portfolio management using large data sets and pricing tools.
• Influence strategy and senior stakeholders, providing clear communication to non-technical audiences.
• Lead technology and transformation programmes, including model and tools implementation.
• Support proposal development and sales materials as part of client relationship management.

• Actuarial qualification (or close to qualification) and degree in a numerate discipline.
• 3+ years experience in pricing for the London Market and use of Hx Renew.
• Proven analytical or pricing leadership experience.
• Strong technical and modelling skills with proficiency in pricing tools.
• Excellent commercial acumen and influencing ability.
• Great communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics for executive audiences.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and underwriting processes.
• Strong organisational, disciplined and delivery-focused approach.
• Proactive, pragmatic, collaborative partnership style.
