Manchester (Hybrid)
£28,000 - £30,000 + Excellent Benefits
Ascent Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a market leader in Manchester to recruit an experienced Credit Controller.
The Role
* Managing your own portfolio of client accounts, ensuring outstanding debt is collected in a timely and professional manner.
* Working towards and achieving monthly cash collection targets through proactive credit control activities.
* Building strong relationships with clients to deliver an excellent level of customer service while maintaining effective credit control.
* Investigating and resolving invoice and billing queries by liaising with internal departments to ensure prompt resolution.
* Reconciling customer accounts, identifying outstanding balances and resolving any discrepancies using Excel.
* Producing and issuing monthly customer statements.
* Monitoring daily cash receipts and ensuring account information is accurate and up to date.
* Processing credit notes following the appropriate approval process.
* Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc credit control and accounts receivable activities as required.
About You
To be considered, you'll ideally have:
* Previous Credit Control experience within a medium or large organisation.
* A proven track record of achieving collection targets and reducing outstanding debt.
* Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
* Good attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Strong Excel skills.
* A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
