Customer Support Manager

The Customer Support Manager role focuses on establishing and nurturing profitable partnerships with corporate and SME clients through the Sales Finance Working Capital solution. Acting as the bridge between the bank’s offerings and client needs, the manager will ensure mutual benefit and long‑term success across the working capital lifecycle.

• Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance, support growth, and uncover trends, insights and improvement opportunities.
• Research client industry trends, regulatory landscape and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.
• Oversee the client’s Sales Finance facility and servicing, balancing credit risk and returns.
• Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations and negotiate terms beneficial for both client and bank.
• Provide guidance to clients to support financial decisions, offering expert product advice for a positive and continuous relationship.
• Assess financial, legal, credit and operational risks linked to client relationships and implement measures to minimize losses.
• Document all client interactions, transactions and agreements to ensure transparency, auditability and support product development and strategy.

• Advise and influence decision‑making; contribute to policy development and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions.
• Lead a team through complex tasks, applying professional knowledge to deliver on business objectives.

• Sales Finance or Confidential Invoice Discounting experience.
• Proven relationship management experience within financial or corporate environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client sites when required.
• Understanding of financial accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Awareness of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) products.
• Key critical skills: risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job‑specific technical skills.

This role is primarily based in Manchester; applications from candidates based in London or Fleet will also be considered.
