Position: Pensions Implementation / Transition Analyst

We are seeking an analytical and detail oriented Implementation Analyst to join a growing pensions operations team, supporting the onboarding, transition and ongoing management of complex pension arrangements. This role is open to traditional and non-traditional actuarial experience.

Location: Manchester / London

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative implementation team, you will support the successful onboarding and transition of pension schemes, ensuring data, processes and operational activities are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pension scheme onboarding and implementation activities
  • Assisting with data validation, cleansing and quality assurance exercises
  • Reviewing scheme data and identifying potential risks or issues
  • Supporting data migration and transition projects
  • Maintaining accurate management information and reporting
  • Assisting with member option calculations and operational processes
  • Liaising with trustees, administrators and internal stakeholders
  • Supporting payroll and administration transition activities
  • Contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
About You

Essential:

  • Experience with in pensions, financial services, operations, administration or a data focused environment
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and working with large data sets
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines

Desirable:

  • Any post transaction experience
  • Traditional or non-traditional actuarial experience within a BPA operations function
  • Defined Benefit (DB) pensions knowledge or experience
  • Experience working with pension scheme data or administration processes
  • Exposure to implementation, onboarding, transition or migration projects
  • Experience reviewing contracts or interpreting technical documentation
  • Progress towards, or interest in undertaking, professional qualifications
