Assistant Management Accountant

Company This is a rapidly growing marketing research business based in central London. They use various research methods and technology to evaluate campaign performance for multiple brands globally. Due to continued year-on-year growth, they are looking to hire an Assistant Management Accountant to join their close-knit finance department. Role Reporting into the Finance Director, the Assistant Management Accountant will support on regular transactional duties (AP & AR) whilst assisting with month-end procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

Support month-end processes, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations, with increasing responsibility over time Maintain key Excel models and produce regular AR and AP reports to support cash flow management Provide ad hoc analysis and support finance queries from stakeholders across the business Take ownership of the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, credit control, and aged debt management Assist with the production of monthly management accounts Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate coding and preparing payment runs for approval Oversee the shared finance inbox and resolve supplier and customer queries efficiently Own bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records within Xero Drive improvements to finance processes, controls, and system workflows to increase efficiency and automation Document processes and support the continued development of the finance function Profile The ideal profile for this Assistant Management Accountant position, should have the following: 2/3 years of experience within a similar finance capacity owning Accounts Payable & Receivable processes.

Experience in supporting month-end procedures.

Experience with Xero. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Evidence of streamlining and improving processes, ideally within a small business background. Early-stage studier or part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA). Salary & Benefits £35,000 - £40,000 plus benefits:
