We are currently seeking a Senior Project Analyst to join our Admin Project Team. The XPS Admin Project Team (APT) is a separate, highly experienced, and specialised project resource comprised of circa 85 staff. APT has vast experience of working on numerous projects from data cleansing and benefit rectification to buy‑ins, buy‑outs and wind‑ups. The team undertakes project work from across XPS ensuring that day‑to‑day Administration work and resources remain unaffected.

Our APT team undertakes projects such as: GMP rectification/equalisation, buy‑in/buy‑out, data cleansing, ad hoc projects for example scheme closures, benefit rectifications, liability reduction exercises, McCloud and pension dashboards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Consultants to undertake project work; ensuring delivery in line with project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Updating relevant pensions administration databases and systems.
  • Performing basic calculations.
  • Running automated systems extracts.
  • Data manipulation.
  • Reviewing member records.
  • Working closely with other departments/teams to ensure project delivery.
  • Ensuring the accurate updating of time recording system for both chargeable and non‑chargeable activities and meeting required utilisation targets.
  • Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar Pensions Project role or within Pensions Administration.
  • Previous Defined Benefit pensions experience.
  • Previous GMP experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in advance of deadlines and prioritising multiple tasks.
  • Able to see projects/tasks through to completion within given timescales.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Able to follow instructions, procedures, policies and assimilate information quickly in a consistent manner.
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility for own work.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required to perform the duties - both numerical and written.
  • Good oral communication skills.
  • An active listener and able to follow through on instructions given.
  • Able to work as part of a multi‑disciplined team.
  • Good problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Maths and English GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent.
