Accounts Assistant; Hybrid

We are pleased to be working with a well-established engineering company based in Trafford Park that is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Clerk to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in transactional finance who enjoys working in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and providing support with journals and month‑end processes.

• Processing and maintaining the purchase ledger.
• Managing the sales ledger, including raising invoices and allocating customer payments.
• Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with journal postings.
• Supporting the Finance Manager with month‑end procedures.
• Resolving supplier and customer account queries promptly.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity.
• Assisting with other finance and administrative duties as required.

• Previous experience in an Accounts Clerk, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• 35 hours per week with flexible start and finish times
