Indirect Tax Manager (Strategic advisory role) - Governance and Risk - Manchester

This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading in-house VAT function at a pivotal stage of its growth. The role offers exposure to some of the most complex and commercially significant VAT advisory work in the market, partnering with senior stakeholders to navigate challenging technical and operational issues across a large, multi-jurisdictional business.

Alongside the advisory element, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and developing the organisation's VAT governance, risk and assurance framework. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help design and embed robust controls, oversee assurance activities, identify areas of VAT risk, and drive continuous improvements to compliance processes. The ideal candidate will bring significant VAT advisory experience gained within a leading professional services firm or large corporate environment, with a strong track record of delivering practical, commercially focused advice on complex VAT matters. In addition, exposure to VAT assurance, control frameworks, governance, risk management, internal controls, or compliance monitoring would be highly advantageous.
