SALARY: £67,023 - £74,470
LOCATION(S): Bristol, Halifax, Manchester & Newport
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our one of our office sites.

The Transport business is getting an unprecedented amount of focus at present from Group, it is undergoing the most significant period of change in its history, supported by a strategic programme to migrate legacy customer platforms to new cloud based systems. At the same time the Transport industry is facing into significant economic and market challenges with the transition to ‘Electric’ and the recent uncertainty in the used car market.
Finance has a key role to play in supporting the business deliver its strategy, the Transport Reporting and Development team is at the heart of everything we do in Finance in partnering the business.
As a Transport Reporting Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in delivery of monthly financial results, take ownership of Joint Venture Financial accounts, as well as assist in the delivery of change initiatives impacting Transport. You’ll work collaboratively cross a multitude of Finance teams to ensure delivery in a controlled manner.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead on all aspects of Blackhorse Financial Reporting: Including delivery of monthly financial results along with supporting analysis. In addition, will consult on inputs/assumptions with regards Flash and QxF activity.
- Own Joint Venture Management Accounts: Support the Business Partnering Team in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts.
- Financial Control: Ensure that the team are operating within the Groups Financial Control Framework and take ownership of monthly reconciliations and attestations.
- Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with key collaborators across Transport and the wider Retail Finance community
- Support team activities: Contribute to development, learning and operational improvement within the team, fostering culture of continuous improvement.
- Invest in Personal Growth: Actively respond to individual and team objectives, by enhancing personal performance and growing your skills and capabilities.
- Day to Day Line Management Responsibility: of two colleagues in the team.
- Exposure to Senior Partners across both Transport and Retail Finance

What we’re looking for:
- Ideally a qualified Finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified though a minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Highly collaborative with the ability to work cross multiple finance teams
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A curious attitude with an eye for process improvement opportunities
- Strong problem-solving skills, using experience to address critical risks/issues/dependencies as they arise and ensuring resolution within agreed timescales.
- Line management experience.
- Demonstrate the right values and behaviours and encouraging this in team members.
