Looking for a finance role that offers genuine work-life balance?
A Multi-Academy Trust in Manchester to recruit an experienced Trust Finance Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking for a broad, responsible role where you can use your commercial and technical finance skills while enjoying the significant benefit of a term-time focused working pattern.
Working closely with senior leaders across the Trust, you’ll provide the financial insight, advice and challenge needed to support effective decision-making and ensure resources are managed efficiently.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on Finance Manager position where you will:
* Lead and support budgeting and forecasting across the Trust
* Produce accurate management accounts and financial reports
* Monitor budgets, investigate variances and provide meaningful commentary
* Provide financial advice and guidance to senior leaders and budget holders
* Support longer-term financial planning and sustainability
* Maintain strong financial controls, processes and procedures
* Support audit, statutory reporting and compliance requirements
* Ensure funding is managed effectively and delivers value for money
* Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
* Build strong relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be an experienced finance professional who is confident working independently and partnering with senior stakeholders.
You will need:
* A recognised finance qualification ACCA/CIMA/ACA
* You will be at least Part Qualified Level
* Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* Confidence interpreting financial information and explaining it to non-finance colleagues
* Strong Excel and financial systems skills
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
Previous experience within a school, academy or Multi-Academy Trust would be highly advantageous, but strong finance professionals from other sectors with relevant transferable experience are also encouraged to apply.
Why Consider This Role?
Alongside the opportunity to take on a key finance position within a Multi-Academy Trust, the working pattern is a major attraction:
£37,771 – £39,681 salary
8.00am – 4.00pm working hours
Term time + just 4 additional weeks
