Location:
Manchester We are partnering with a successful international business to appoint a Financial Controller to join its Manchester-based finance team. Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of group financial reporting, statutory accounts, consolidation, audit and tax compliance across a number of UK and international entities. You will also lead and develop the financial accounts team and support the wider business with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare UK statutory and consolidated group accounts. Manage UK and international audit processes and statutory deadlines. Oversee corporation tax, VAT and other tax compliance. Manage group consolidation, intercompany balances and FX accounting. Support budgeting and forecasting with the CFO. Develop and improve finance processes, systems and controls. Lead, mentor and develop the financial accounts team. Provide financial analysis and support ad hoc projects.
About you:
ACA or ACCA qualified. Strong statutory accounts and financial control experience.
Experience with group consolidation and intercompany accounting. Good understanding of taxation and regulatory requirements. Experience working with UK and international auditors/advisers. Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables. Commercial, detail-oriented and confident communicating with senior stakeholders. A proactive approach to improving processes and ways of working. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a broad Financial Controller role with significant exposure to international finance, senior leadership and process improvement.
