Finance Director

Chalk Hill Group are supporting an established distribution business, based near Gatwick, who are looking to appoint an experienced Fractional Finance Director on an initial 3–6 month contract. This is a hands-on finance leadership role, ideal for an experienced FD or strong FC who enjoys being close to the detail and making a tangible impact. Working around two days per week, you will take responsibility for a range of core finance activities, including:
Financial reporting and management information Strengthening financial controls and processes Cash flow forecasting and management Identifying and implementing process improvements Supporting the wider finance function and improving efficiencies Mentoring and developing a more junior member of the finance team Providing hands-on financial leadership and support to the business We are looking for someone who is:
An experienced Finance Director, Financial Controller or similar Comfortable operating in a hands-on, SME environment Experience in Distribution or Logistics sector Strong technically, with solid reporting, controls and cash flow experience Practical and solutions-focused, with a track record of improving processes Confident mentoring and supporting junior finance staff Available to work around 2 days per week onsite near Gatwick This role is inside IR35.
