Accounts Assistant Study

Position: Accounts Assistant  Study Support
RG Consultancy are working with a growing SME in Stoke on Trent who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their small finance. You will work along side and report into the Finance Manager on a daily basis. The role would suit someone working in Purchase Ledger with a couple of years experiance and would be open to having more exposure in accounts and gain professional development.

25 days holiday  8 bank holidays Flexible working hours Early finish on a Friday Free onsite parking Pension scheme Study support for AAT/CIMA or ACCA Role Responsibilities Processing a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently Matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation where required Coding and inputting invoices onto the finance system Checking invoices for accuracy and resolving discrepancies Processing supplier payments and supporting payment runs Reconciling supplier statements and investigating outstanding items Responding to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner Maintaining accurate supplier records Assisting with month-end processes and reporting Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as required Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines Person Specification At least 2 years experience working within a Purchase Ledger/Accounts Assistant or similar role Studying AAT or AAT level 2, 3 or 4 qualified would be an advantage but not essential Desire for further development into CIMA/ACCA or already started studying Strong IT skills, MS Excel, system experience & experience using accounting packages Willingness to have exposure to other areas of accounts & developing to assist with management accounts
