Senior FP&A Analyst

Salary: £52,000 - £62,000

We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant to join our team as an FP&A Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to develop specialist knowledge in Single Source Regulations Office (SSRO) regulations while supporting critical defense sector programmes and contributing to wider FP&A activities across the Defense business.

Previous SSRO experience is desirable but not essential. We will provide training and support to help you develop your expertise in this specialist area. The selected candidate will bring sound financial and commercial judgment, the ability to build effective working relationships, offer clear advice, and support regulatory compliance across a range of defense contracts.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have a Strong Financial Management And Business Partnering Background, With Experience That Should Include Several Of The Following

  • Managing financial management and reporting activities across complex contracts or projects.
  • Preparing, reviewing and submitting statutory reports, management information or compliance documentation.
  • Interpreting financial regulations, policies and guidance and advising business stakeholders on their application.
  • Acting as a key point of contact during audits, inspections or compliance reviews.
  • Developing and maintaining financial controls, policies and governance processes.
  • Supporting contract teams with costing, pricing models, financial analysis and risk management activities.
  • Delivering financial guidance and training to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Supporting forecasting, budgeting and business performance reporting.
  • Providing commercial insight to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and implementing changes within business processes.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). AAT-qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Solid finance, accounting or commercial experience, alongside a willingness to develop knowledge in SSRO regulations and compliance.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, management information, statutory submissions or other compliance documentation.
  • Ability to understand and apply cost principles, contract pricing methodologies and audit procedures.
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing complex financial information and applying relevant regulatory guidance.
  • Experience managing relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders and external organisations.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Highly effective communication skills, both spoken and in writing.
  • Desirable Requirements
  • Familiarity with SSRO regulations, defence contracting or regulated pricing environments.
  • Experience working within the defence sector.
  • Experience presenting to or negotiating with government procurement organisations or regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of cost models, pricing methodologies or contract compliance frameworks.
  • Project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial audiences.
  • A self-directed approach to learning and ongoing professional development.

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
