Credit Controller (Temporary – Ongoing) Chesterfield, Derbyshire (Hybrid Working) We’re currently recruiting for a temporary ongoing Credit Controller to join a busy and supportive finance team based in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced credit professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong customer relationships.

The Role As a Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring payments are received in line with agreed terms, and reducing outstanding debt. You’ll work closely with both customers and internal teams to maintain accurate records and resolve queries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Conduct credit checks for new and existing customers Manage the aged debtor ledger and collect outstanding balances against targets Maintain regular contact with customers via phone and email Investigate and resolve account queries in a timely manner Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate customer records and billing information Raise invoices and credit notes, including any necessary adjustments Upload invoices to customer portals and resolve portal-related issues Support customers with payment processes (bank details, payment links, card payments) Post and allocate receipts within the finance system and assist with refunds Identify and escalate high-risk accounts where necessary Support wider finance tasks on an ad hoc basis About You Experienced in credit control or accounts receivable Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong communicator with a professional and approachable manner Highly organised with a methodical approach to problem-solving Confident managing multiple customer portals and systems Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong reconciliation skills What’s On Offer Hybrid working Flexible working hours Medical cover Company pension If this looks like a role of interest then please get in touch or apply now!
