Interim Assistant Accountant

Are you an immediately available Assistant Accountant looking for a role where you can make a real impact? I am looking for an Assistant Accountant to join an exciting ERP implementation project on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract which may well be extended. This is a hands-on opportunity where you’ll support the Finance Manager through a period of change, helping to bring the finance function up to date while also playing a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system.

The role will include:
Working through and clearing a backlog of invoices Analysing existing financial data and identifying discrepancies Supporting with reconciliations and general finance duties Assisting the Finance Manager throughout the ERP implementation Reviewing and improving existing finance processes Helping ensure data is accurate and ready for migration Providing wider support to the finance team as required We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience within an Assistant Accountant / Finance Assistant role Good knowledge of SAGE Is confident working with financial data and reconciliations Has strong Excel skills and good attention to detail Is comfortable working through a backlog and meeting deadlines Can adapt quickly to new systems and processes Is proactive, organised and happy to get stuck in Candidates MUST be available to start within the next 2 weeks.
