Tax Senior – Manchester City Centre (Advisory Tax Role)
A leading Top 60 UK accountancy and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Senior in Manchester to join its growing advisory team.
This is a pure advisory-focused tax role
, offering exposure to complex corporate and private client tax planning. The position is ideal for a tax professional (ATT / ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or part-qualified) who wants to move away from compliance-heavy work and focus on strategic tax advisory projects

This Tax Senior role in Manchester sits within a specialist advisory tax team working with a wide portfolio of corporate clients, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals
.
You will be involved in delivering complex tax planning solutions
, supporting business owners and organisations through growth, restructuring, transactions, and succession planning.
This role offers genuine variety, technical depth, and long-term career progression within a growing tax division.
Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a portfolio of corporate and private advisory tax clients
Advising on UK and international corporate tax matters
Supporting business owners with tax-efficient structuring and planning
Working on group restructures, reorganisations, demergers, and MBOs
Advising on EOTs, valuations, and profit extraction strategies
Supporting clients through business sales and acquisitions
Delivering personal tax advisory services
, including:CGT planning
IHT mitigation strategies
Trusts and family investment structures
Residency and domicile planning
Working closely with managers and directors on complex advisory assignments
Reviewing corporate tax computations and identifying planning opportunities
Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
Staying up to date with UK tax legislation and technical developments
ATT / ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience)
Experience with in a UK accountancy practice tax environment
Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance and advisory work
Experience in tax planning or advisory projects is essential
Exposure to private client tax (CGT, IHT, etc.) is advantageous
Strong technical and analytical skills
Confident communicator with strong client-facing ability
Ability to manage workload and work within a collaborative team
