Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting
Step into this Corporate Financial Analyst role and build something that matters in Financial Services.
Manchester's financial services sector has grown into one of the most active outside London, and enterprise firms here need analysts who can turn numbers into decisions. This organisation is an established industry leader with large-scale projects running at any given time. A Corporate Financial Analyst joining now steps into structured processes rather than chaos, working alongside people who've built careers in the sector rather than passed through it.
Here'swhat you'll be doing:
- Build and maintain financial models that support budgeting, forecasting and investment decisions across the business
- Analyse monthly management accounts and flag variances before they become problems
- Prepare reports for senior stakeholders, translating raw data into recommendations they can act on
- Support the annual budgeting cycle, working closely with department heads to sanity-check assumptions
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and key financial ratios against targets
- Contribute to process improvements that make reporting faster and more accurate
- A relevant degree in finance, accounting or economics, or equivalent professional experience
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), or working towards it
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial modelling and BI tools such as Power BI is a plus
- Two to four years in a financial analysis, FP&A or corporate finance role, ideally within Financial Services
- Sharp attention to detail. Numbers that don't add up should bother you
- The ability to explain financial concepts clearly to people who aren't finance specialists
- £36,000 to £47,500, depending on experience
- Hybrid working, with the Manchester office as your base
- Comprehensive benefits package including private medical and dental insurance
- Enhanced pension scheme and performance-based bonuses
- Structured career development within a large, established organisation
Financial Services rewards precision and consistency, and it tends to promote people who show both. Manchester has become a genuine hub for the sector, with enterprise employers investing heavily in talent outside the capital. A Corporate Financial Analyst who performs well here has a clear route into senior finance roles, not just a job title.
