We're partnering with a large-cap private equity-backed infrastructure business seeking an exceptional Senior Exit Support Consultant to support a multi-billion-pound exit.

Working directly with the C-suite and private equity sponsor, you will play a critical role in coordinating the transaction, managing complex work streams and ensuring management teams and external advisers remain aligned throughout the exit process.

This is a high-profile, hands-on assignment requiring someone who has successfully led or played a senior role on exits of similar scale and complexity, with the credibility to operate across senior management, the PE shareholder and external advisory teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the C-suite and private equity sponsor through the execution of a multi-billion-pound exit process.
  • Own and coordinate the integrated exit plan across multiple complex work streams.
  • Drive transaction readiness and ensure key deliverables are completed against demanding timelines.
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, legal, tax and operational work streams throughout the process.
  • Manage and coordinate external advisers including investment banks, accountants, consultants and lawyers.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between management, the PE sponsor and external advisory teams.
  • Track key deliverables, dependencies, risks and critical decisions across the transaction.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of key transaction materials and management outputs.
  • Ensure senior stakeholders have clear visibility over progress, issues and priorities throughout the process.
  • Drive accountability across internal and external teams to maintain momentum towards a successful exit.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience leading or playing a senior role in large-scale, multi-billion-pound exit processes.
  • Deep understanding of the transaction lifecycle and the demands of a complex private equity exit.
  • Strong track record managing multiple transaction work streams and coordinating external advisers.
  • Investment banking background highly desirable, ideally followed by experience operating within a private equity-backed portfolio company.
  • Experience partnering directly with C-suite executives and senior private equity professionals.
  • Strong programme management capability with the ability to coordinate complex, interdependent work streams at pace.
  • Infrastructure sector experience advantageous.
  • Excellent commercial judgement and the ability to identify and resolve transaction-critical issues quickly.
  • Able to operate with authority and credibility in a high-pressure, highly scrutinised transaction environment.
  • Comfortable taking a hands-on approach while maintaining oversight of the wider exit programme.
