Finance Manager

A well-established and growing SME business based in Manchester. You’ll be working closely with the Managing Director in a broad role, producing management accounts, forecasting, managing cashflow, providing commercial recommendations and supporting decision making through various forms of analyses, and more.

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director, maintaining the financial controls in the business, alongside production of monthly management and year end accounts.
• Develop, implement, and monitor financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with department heads to create and manage departmental budgets.
• Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control.
• Present financial information to management, providing insights and recommendations.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring optimal working capital.
• Forecast and address potential cash flow issues.

• Previous experience preparing management accounts
• Commercial mindset, capable to contribute to strategic financial decision-making
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified or qualified, AAT qualified / QBE also considered with suitable SME experience
• Good time-management and organisational skills
